Gross Motor Skills

Gross motor skills require the use of the large muscles in our arms, legs and bodies.  They enable us to do things such as climb, run, throw and catch and balance.  These skills also have a huge impact on our fine motor skills, and so activities that support our gross motor skills will have a positive impact on our ability to carry out smaller actions, such as holding a pencil.
