Tasks linked to 'The Lonely Beast'

The Beast travelled through many NATURAL FEATURES to get to the city. If you can’t remember which ones, why not listen to the story again? (link below).

Tasks:

  • Draw a map of the Beast’s journey. Be sure to label the different features, using a descriptive word for each, such as ‘tall mountain’ and ‘creepy cave’.

  • What other features could you add to your map? For example: a deep lake, green hills etc..

Bright Lights, Big City Topic (Geography)

Extra activity: London Underground map. Play some games with this. E.g. How many stations have 'Park' in their name? How many stops are there between two different places on the same line? Can you plan an imaginary journey around the London stations - where would you visit first and where would you end up?
