A Message from the Head Teacher

Welcome to our school. My name is Julie White and I feel extremely privileged to be leading Squirrels Heath Infant School as the Head Teacher. We are all extremely proud of our school, pupils and community and are keen to welcome new squirrels!

Our school was built in 1911 to serve the local community. The school has changed over the years and we pride ourselves on having a caring, family ethos.

We are a Good school (Ofsted 2019) with lots going on. Our aim is to create a safe and caring environment in which learning can flourish. We want our pupils to develop into well rounded individuals confident to learn, ask questions , listen to others and be independent. We pride ourselves on our high expectations and are proud of our pupil's good behaviour and positive attitudes.

Our pupils are enthusiastic about learning and we are passionate about making a difference to their lives. Our dedicated and highly skilled team work hard to provide the best possible opportunities for all of our children to aim high and achieve their full potential. We seek to create learning opportunities that are driven by the interests and passions of the pupils and aim to ensure that each child has access to a wide range of enriching experiences throughout their time with us. It is extremely important that at such a young age children are provided with opportunities to grow and flourish in a style of learning that reflects their age and stage of development.

If you are a new parent, considering sending your child to our school,  we hope that this website gives you an insight into our work and values. We recommend that you make an appointment to visit the school prior to making an application so that you can experience the school in action. If you are an existing parent, this website aims to strengthen home-school links by providing you with relevant information about the school and events and also to provide support and advice.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries, comments or suggestions you may have about this site.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
